WELCOME

                              TERM 2: INTRODUCTION

Welcome back to Maniscosmos. Term two has begun and this will be my first official blog of the term. In my first term at DMUIC, I developed my digital skills in website creation and my ability to record information on my blogs through reflection and recording facts. In other classes besides digital arts, I developed my drawing and artistic skills. However, the first term was a tussle for me. This is because I was still adjusting and adapting to the tertiary system of education. I struggled with my time management, and ability to multitask and complete assignments on time. Thankfully, towards the end of the term I was able to get a hold of everything and I passed all my modules

For this coming term, I will see to it that the mistakes I made last term will not be repeated and I will strive to be more hardworking in all endeavors. Self-study was one major aspect I wasn't good with during my first term. In this new term, I will put in all my effort to make sure I, develop projects and assignments that were given to me in class to make sure I reach my full potential and achieve laudable marks.

During the Christmas break, I took a field trip and was able to photograph buildings and structures in London that caught my eye due to their unique architectural outlook.

VICTORIA PLACE SHOPPING CENTRE IN LONDON
This building is one of the shopping centres out of many that London residents purchase items from.
The exterior has a mix of both ultramodern Architecture and Georgian Architecture. The building has a rectangular shape with many glass window.

This is the Parliament View Apartment high-rise building in London. This building is also made out of glass however, it has an organic shape with curved features.

Comments

  1. Do you have anything else to say about this architecture? These are quite bland examples to use and look as if you took a couple of photos whilst you were changing public transport! If you are going to use examples like these, at least say something about them - what do you think of them architecturally? Why did these 'catch your eye'? What purpose do these buildings have? What do they offer the local area?

Also, talk about what you want to achieve this term.

Edit this post and answer these questions.

There are four other posts that need to be added to this blog before I see you for your tutorial in Week 3. Make sure your blog is updated.
