OBJECT INSPIRATION

                                        INSPIRATION FROM NON LIVING OBJECTS

During the lesson, our tutor provided a box with a variety of objects to pick from. There were houses , piggy banks , ropes and so on. However, I selected the flower due to its sophisticated look. The flower has an array of colours with pink being the dominant colour

                                         WORDS TO DESCRIBE THE FLOWER

In order to fully interpret the object we were given, we were tasked to make a list of words we can use to describe the flower. My list of words were

Elegant

Eye catching

Exquisite

Majestic

Mesmerzing

Nostalgia

Potruding

Contemporary

Complicated

The list can go on and on but these were some of the main words that made my list.

Personally, the flower serves as a relic to what something was, is and can be in the future. The flower was once a plant thay was blooming with many petals and full of life. Now it is dead with no life and dull outlook.

HOW THE FLOWER GAVE ME INSPIRATION TOWARDS MY ARCHITECTURE PROJECT

The colours the flower possess also influenced me towards selecting pop art as my theme. This is because the flower has a variety of colours ranging from blackat the tips of the dead flower buds. It also has a range of shades of pink. Not forgetiting the pedicel of the flower which is brown. All these colours can be interpreted to have a variety of meanings

I turned the flower upside down and it made me think of a building. The tip of the pedicel of the flower being the apex of a building and the actual aprts of the flower being the base of the building.

This flower in particular also has a big stigma in the middle and many anthers and stigmas. This made me think that I would want my buidling to be as sophisticated as the flower is
