ELEVATIONS WITH ARCSITE

            GOLDEN HORIZON BLOCK A                                        ELEVATIONS

After completing the floor plans which you can see in the previous block post I began working on the elevations. Elevations are the exterior faces of the building which can be seen from outside. As all the technical outcomes for my project were of block A these two elevations will be of the North view which is the view from the entrance as well as the West view which is the view from the left side.

I began by outlining the dimensions. The height is constant which is 18 metres with each floor being 3 metres high.

I proceeded to draw out the front views of both the terrace and the walls in the North View. This aspect was easy because I knew the measurements of head because I have been working on this project for weeks.

I also did the elevations simultaneously like how I did the floor plans. Therefore, after completing the outlines of the North View I did the same procedure for the West Elevation. The difference between the North and West Elevations is that for the West you can vividly see the reduction in size due to the staircase and pyramid-like design. This section also included windows which I also included in the design.

The final step was to outline the measurements accurately using the measure tool which I had selected
in the screenshot above. As you can see the length of the ground floor is 30 metres, first floor is 26 metres , 2nd floor is 22 metres, 3rd floor is 18 metres, 4th floor is 14 metres and the final floor for block A is 10 metres long.

Above are the final Elevations of both the North and West views of block A. Carrying out this task was quite easy because I just needed accurate measurements which I already had memorized and listed out for reference. In the next post, I will describe and analyze the process I used in creating my sections which was a fusion of Arc site and AutoCAD
